॥Shri Ram॥
Some instructions given by Swamiji for the Parayan (recital):
(1) While doing Parayan, read calmly so that the meaning of the verses, ovi, or abhanga can be understood.
(2) Daily only 1 – 1.5 hours need to be given. If it cannot be given continuously, it may be divided into 2 or 3 parts, but the day’s Parayan should be completed.
(3) Reading will be in the sequence of: first the verse of the Gita, then its meaning from the Bhavarth Gita, and thereafter its elaboration from the Abhang Dnyaneshwari.
(4) This Parayan of 18 chapters is divided into 30 days (1 month). (Its division can be seen in the following ‘Abhang Dnyaneshwari Parayan Method – Daily Schedule’.) If Parayan is done daily, then from Gokulashtami 2025 to Gokulashtami 2026, a total of 12 Parayans of the Abhang Dnyaneshwari will be completed.
(5) By doing Parayan, both ‘Punya’ (spiritual merit) and ‘Gyaan’ (knowledge)—because of reading in a limited, calm, and meaningful manner—will be obtained, giving great satisfaction.
(6) After completing the daily Parayan: recite the five ovis of Shri Dnyaneshwar’s Vandana from the Abhang Dnyaneshwari, and chant the mantra “Om Ram Krishna Hari” twelve times. Hari OM 🙏
